ONLINE APPLICATION

NO TRAVEL REQUIRED.
(There is no competition on location as in years past).

3- STEP PROCESS

Applicants scoring 80 percent or above will 
be considered to enter as Semi-Finalists.  

 

First Place  Award  $5,000
Second Place Award:  $1,500
Third Place Award: $500

 

GUIDELINES

No age restriction.

Any Standard Repertoire for Piano Accepted.  

(i.e. works by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, 20th Century, etc. See Former Competitions for examples. Single movements accepted.)

All performances must be from memory.

Repertoire may not be repeated in subsequent rounds.

Artists are encouraged to include a variety of styles and periods.

No YouTube videos are allowed.

All Recordings must be non-edited and
recorded after June 1st, 2008  (edited recordings will be grounds for disqualification)


COMPETITION SCHEDULE

I. Application deadline:   June 1, 2010 
  
(All deadlines based on receipt date of application.)


II. Selected Semi-Finalists Announced: July 15, 2010

    Performance CD (30 mins).  Submissions for Semi-Finals – deadline August 15, 2010


III. Selected Finalists Announced: September 30, 2010

    Performance CD (45 mins).  Deadline October 30, 2010


IV. Winners Announced: December 31, 2010

 
 


3-STEP ONLINE APPLICATION

 

1.    A recent non-edited 20-minute audio recording uploaded to the internet  
(in mp3, .wma, or .wav format)
 
YOUTUBE VIDEOS ARE NOT ALLOWED.  
If you use MySpace Music to host your audio recording, you must have downloads enabled.   

You MUST include the URL (beginning with http://) to the downloadable file in the submission form for your application to be complete.    The recording MUST be able to be downloaded by judges.  Failure to comply with this critical step will be grounds for disqualification.

There are several free options to upload and store your file for free.  We recommend either Fileden.com, Boxstr.com, or 4shared.com or mediafire.com   Help and assistance on uploading is available at these sites.   We are unable to provide technical support.



2.     $95 payment using PayPal.      (Non-refundable).
